 ABERDEEN

EARTH GUARD

We are Aberdeen's new and exciting environmental task force.  We work as volunteers on city wide projects protecting wildlife habitats and tackling climate change.

Citizens aged 18+ are welcome to join our action group.  We provide a great social experience for participants whilst providing a valuable environmental service for the community.

Global warming is causing species extinction as wildlife is unable to adapt to and cross a fragmented landscape.  The Earth Guard has two main missions:

  • Wildlife conservation through the protection and linking of urban green space
  • The promotion of carbon neutral projects to help lower our greenhouse gas emissions

We meet regularly on Tuesday evenings for talks, workshops and campaigns, and on Saturdays for practical outdoor action in and around the city.  Our aim is to protect our native earth and its wildlife, guard our surrounding forests and woodlands to ensure they provide the clean air we need, and the hills and mountains the fresh water for our city.

If you love the outdoors and want to help with practical environmental projects in the community, and seek to have fun and adventure at the same time, then please contact us!
